Youssef Tayeb is a maker. He is fascinated by the opportunities which the world of digital fabrication can afford designers. Heavily influenced by an open-source ethos, he firmly believes that the disruptive technologies which the personal manufacturing movement develops will result in the democratisation of manufacturing.
Working as a freelancer after graduating from RMIT’s Industrial Design program, Youssef has pursued a design process which explores the concept of micro-scale personal fabrication. His design methods have seen him work and collaborate with local manufacturers, retailers, start-up companies, and artisans.
