Caroline is an established Industrial Design professional and academic, whose career spans over 19 years of design, consultancy management, consumer and product research and education delivery experience. She has worked throughout Asia and Australia in leading design studios including Outerspace Design (Melbourne), Infinity Design (Brisbane and Hong Kong), and her own consultancy, Fordholm Design (Melbourne and Beijing).

Prior to commencing her PhD on culture variables in consumer trust at the University of Melbourne, she was Capability Development Manager for the Food Innovation Centre of Excellence, an initiative co-founded by Mondelez and the Victorian Government.

Caroline’s research interests focus on design for social innovation, cross-cultural perceptions impacting design, design-led security features, and consumer trust strategies.
