Working alongside practising designers Dale Hardiman and Adam Lynch of Dowel Jones, Design for Distribution (Furniture and Lighting) will work with one of Australia’s leading furniture distributors Cafe Culture + Insitu as a client to produce a piece/s of furniture or lighting with the intention of distribution. Market research has long been a tiring task (and often ignored) for furniture and object designers. Cafe Culture + Insitu’s owner Marnie Hammond and Victorian Manager Sarah Elyard will work alongside the studio to develop a brief for the production of furniture or lighting to suit current market trends and research acquired from years of experience.
This studio will look at the production of commercial furniture and lighting from the very first idea, through to selling product Australia wide.
Cafe Culture + Insitu represents a range of world-class local and international designers brands, providing a comprehensive selection of authentic, contemporary furniture and lighting solutions across Australia.
