Tal is a design practitioner and researcher working through various disciplines, engaging with clients on projects in the fields of consumer products, mobile, furniture and lighting, fashion, agriculture markets, spatial and exhibition design.

Tal has worked as a lecturer since 2009 at the Industrial Design department at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem and at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (Bachelor of Industrial Design and Master of Design Innovation and Technology), teaching students from first to fourth year in various courses, touching an array of topics ranging from User Centred Design, Design for people with special needs, Technology driven courses to courses dealing with more abstract creative thinking and storytelling through the design of objects.

His interest lies in designed objects and environments which tell a good story, may it be a story of a person, of a process, or a material.

Tal is currently a PhD candidate at RMIT, researching contemporary forms of commemorative practices.
