Rose Boddam-Whetham’s practice nests within craft and industrial design. She has been educated in both areas of industry which she uses in her Jewellery and object-based practice. Exploration and observation are integral parts to understanding how things are made and why certain materials and techniques are used. When our lives are based heavily within a global market craft can be used as a tool for humanising the making process. It is a staple of our common past bringing with it a sense of belonging and progression. Rose uses design and prototyping techniques from craft and industrial design to explore creative thinking and physical possibilities.
