SANIN Juan

I’m a lecturer in Industrial Design at RMIT University. My research looks at the broad field of Design Anthropology. I’m particularly interested in the material culture of everyday life, the articulation of ethnographic fieldwork and design practice, and the use of co-design methods to involve users in the design process. More recently, I’ve come interested in the role of play in the creative process, and in playing as a collaborative design method.

My design studio teaching and honours supervision are related to my research in the ‘Health Care Co-Design Group’, a joint initiative between RMIT University and several Australian hospitals aimed at improving patient experiences.
