with Jonathan Ben-Tovim and Kim Vien
What will the workplace of the future look like in 5 to 10 years time? How will disruptive technologies shape professions and industries? How can designer help the future workforce be more productive, healthier and happier?
Students will be given a range of analytical techniques and strategies to help explore and understand current work environments relating to health and well being. This analysis will form the basis for a design concept relating to the improvement of a specific work environment or profession, with an emphasis on new technologies. The end result will have students delivering a refined and detailed prototype, based on a sound body of research.
Students will gain skills in research presentation techniques based on methods used by current Industrial Design Consultancies. They will create a prototype of exhibition quality, and use this to create an evocative image to tell the product’s story.
