Din Heagney is a writer, editor, researcher, and specialist in art and design communication.
He has worked on design projects for companies including MAB, Becton, Build Architecture, Royal Women’s Hospital, Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, Sensis, Seven Network, Australian War Memorial, and Evian. Along with managing recent

catalogues for the Biennale of Sydney, and the Venice Biennale Australian Pavilion,

he has worked as an adviser for NAVA, City of Melbourne, Arts Victoria, and the

Australia Council. He has edited magazines such as Desktop, Un and Artlink, and

written essays for many artists and galleries in Australia, Italy, Germany and China.

His work has been commissioned by design publications including Inside, Monument, Nylon, Melbourne Design Guide, and by websites such as Pages Digital, The Art

Life, and PBS Art 21 New York. Din has also appeared in interviews with The Age,

Radio National, SBS and ABC TV.

His current research area (VISLAN) explores literary methodology and remediation

of visual objects and spaces to facilitate translations that are compatible with adaptive

technology.
